Welcome to Dr. Lior Mayo's laboratory at Tel Aviv University.

Our research group investigates the underlying mechanisms that drive neurologic disorders (from autoimmune and degenerative diseases to cancer) and translates that knowledge into meaningful medical advances.

In particular, we study how the interactions between the immune system, brain cells, and the unique metabolic landscape of the central nervous system control the progression of diseases such as Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and brain tumors.
